Beyond Words

Seeping through a photograph

Through my mom is not present I am learning so much more about her through a photograph. I learned how similar we are in our smile, hair, forehead, cheeks, nose, ears, eye shape & long legs.

I feel her wild free spirit seep through the pictures.I want to be this way. Not everything she was but everything she would want me to be.

Oh what I would do to be with her in her presence. Talking & laughing. Singing & dancing, storytelling. Through prom and graduation. My time of exploration. To see me under avail and hold me close.

Though I wish this is true,I dream a dream. Wish upon a star wish to see you again.

Until then I learn from you as you guide me through.

One year ago today an angel gained there wings. This angel was my first home, my first love and my first friend. This angel gave me my name and I called her a name I will never call anyone else, that name is Mom. One year ago today I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye, to share one last hug. I unknowingly said my last goodbye 7 days before. Last year on this day I heard the worst news a girl could possibly hear. I had the worst feeling I’d ever felt before. It didn’t feel real. How could it be? There were so many more Saturday nights needed to be spend together, more laughs need to be laughed, more stories needed to be told, more of her magic hugs needed to be given. She was going to help me pick out my prom dress then one day my wedding dress and walk me down the aisle and hold my hand while I’m having a baby while telling me “kids ruin everything” As I thought about all the things she would miss I promised myself I would never forget about the memories we did get to share together. Eventually as I grew in my faith I realized my mom wasn’t gone. Just because I can’t see her anymore doesn’t mean she’s was gone because love never dies. She is still with me, she is in my heart and when she visit me in my dreams I feel her presence. She is the whistle in the wind, the warmth on a sunny day, or a butterfly that decides to hangout for a little while. My mom was the most caring, love person I ever met. She treated everyone as if they were family and I’d never seen anyone love animals more than she did. She had so much on her plate yet made it look so easy she literally would cart wheeled through life. I hope one day I can be as spectacular as she was. I thank God I was blessed to have a Mom like her and for all of the unforgettable memories we shared. ❤️

The man Jesus lived to be.

Green is the most simple color. Looking at it reminded me of the simple man Jesus was.

•He never owned a home.

•He never traveled more than 200 miles from his town.

•He was a carpenter

•Did not have nice clothes

BUT

What he did have was

•The kindest heart

•Strong faith

•He trust his Father

•Loved all

What we can learn from the live Jesus lived is:

•Not to judge a book by its cover.

•All you need is a strong faith.

Tonight I realized..

How did I get so lucky? To be gifted a love and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

growing up I had no if it in fact I would get mad at people who did and who talk to me about it.

If today I was the same loss girl I was a couple years ago. Going through the struggle of grieving the loss of my mom. I have no idea what my life would look like. Honestly the thought scares me.

I realized something:
whether or not you have a relationship with God and faith hardships will come, we all will struggle.

but if you choose to allow God in and trust him he will create something so beautiful all from the broken pieces.

The choice is up to you.

I choose welcome God and with trust, love and hope. What about you?

Repentance

Repentance is a word I have been learning recently. I have always been very hard on myself and not forgiving when I make a humane mistake. God he has grace and mercy for us when we make mistakes like I did this morning waking up at 9:24 when class started at 9. When I miss church or fall behind in my bible study plans. He forgives us. Repent it does not mean the same as regret, it’s a sincere apology. God he doesn’t want us to be ashamed or embarrassed, he just wants you to repent and he will give you his grace and love. I think of it like this: When I was little and accidentally broke something of my moms I would be so scared to tell her thinking she would never forgive me, once I told her and was honest, she gave me her love and grace. If I wasn’t honest she was disappointed. God wants his children to be honest with him, just like how parents know everything, so does God ;). Be graceful and loving towards yourself and others during this time of change and uncertainty.❤️

Ask God

Currently I am writing this at 4:30 AM I do not know what I am writing simply just letting my pen move up and down.

I don’t remember falling asleep last night, my body was tired, still is but my brain has other things that it has to sort through, many things in the category of: worry, stress, fear. The three things God tells us not to do.

Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it’s own things.”

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

|| Timothy “ For God has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

A different day

Each of us live a different day. Filled with different life experiences, good and bad. God knows the day you lived, the day we all lived. Talk it over with him, thank him for the good and ask for help with the bad. He is there for you, if no one else God is with you, loving you and comforting you. Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” The day you lived today the experiences you had, God made. He made this day for you. He does this everyday. Somedays we feel it was the worse day of our lives, trust me I have felt this way before. I can promise you God did not want to torture you he wanted to make you stronger, he did not leave you to suffer he comforted you, I know this and you do do because you are sitting here reading this right now you survived a that day. Thank God for the good days and the bad ones too because sometimes the greatest blessing are on the hardest days. Now reflect on this day, look for all the times God winked at you. Forgive yourself and others. It’s time to rest now while God prepares tomorrow.
