It’s totally okay to be angry. It’s the way we treat our anger, that’s important. We as humans get angry so easily, sometimes over nothing and other times there really is something to be mad about. All of us handle this feeling differently. For me I normally stay quiet and pretend I’m not mad. Others may lash out, play the silent treatment or talk behind the person’s back. How do you react to anger?
Ephesians 4:26 says “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger” God explains to us that is it okay to be angry sometimes. The problem with anger is how we express it. It is so easy to let sin take over when we’re mad. To allow the devil to be able to influence our actions. God understands that we will get mad but he wants to teach us how to handle our anger in a godly way.
Learning to handle anger in a godly way is so hard. I continue to learn as I go and ask God for help on handling the situation in which I am mad about. So many people will purposely hurt us or try to make us mad and they do a good job of it. We have to learn how to handle it and not strike back. I live by the quote “two wrongs don’t make a right.” Just because they hurt you does not mean you have to hurt them back. Learn from others mistakes and hope they learn from them too.
When we are wronged by someone as humans we want to tell everyone what they did and gossip about it. Yet the only person we should tell is God. This is very easy to forget in the mist of it all, but try and learn to put your trust in him with any and all situations, good, bad, hard, or easy. God wants to be there to help you, you just have to simply let him in.
