You are loved

•You are wanted
•You are enough
•You are a child of God
•You are not alone
•You are Gods creation

If someone has ever said you were not loved, wanted or enough they were wrong, you are all of those things no matter the sins you have done. God does not expect us to be perfect he expected us to be human. Jesus died on the cross so our sins would be forgiven.

It is so easy to get stuck in the image social media expresses, never feeling good enough cause you don’t look like someone or don’t get as many likes. Don’t change yourself for others, God created you perfectly.

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

One in a million

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of starts; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.” Psalms 147: 3-5

Have you ever laid outside and tried counting the stars? I sure have multiple times. Each time I would lose track and eventually stop counting. I like to think of the stars as a reflection of earth. Each and everyone of us is a star. There are billions of people on this earth and we couldn’t possibly count them all if we tried, just like when we try and count the stars. Jesus on the other hand he has counted all of the stars and given them all names, just like us.

I’m telling you this because you may feel invisible, unnoticed on this earth but Jesus he notices you, he knows you, he knows your name and he wants you to know his too. So next time you go star gazing and you try counting the stars remember that our God was not given named almighty for nothing, he was named almighty because he counted the stars and knows them by there name, just like he knows you by yours. Putting Jesus first

On June 20th I decided to start the Bible reading plan in the back of my bible, each day you read part of the Old Testament, Psalms and the New Testament. It has only been a week and I already feel my relationship with Jesus growing. I have been staring my mornings off by reading Gods word. This brings a beautiful start to my day. By doing this I’m letting Jesus lead me into the day he has prepared for me.

The most important thing I’ve learned is this “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” Hebrews 13:8 I had been looking for a constant for so long turns out it was right in front of me my entire life. Jesus is my constant. He is yours too. He is the same loving, caring, kind, companionate, forgiving, pure hearted soul he was yesterday, is today and will be tomorrow. Knowing that gives me so much peace as so many people may leave and change in our lives, Jesus Christ will stay constant.

If you are still reading this I want to challenge you to put Jesus first. Whether it’s praying when you wake up, starting a devotional on the holy bible app, reading your favorite verse or even starting a bible plan. Whatever it may be I want to challenge you to being or grow your relationship with the Lord!

Turning of the page

I want to start off by reminding you that God is for you. Let’s say it again God is for you. This is the best thing to remind yourself of, that God is for you. He will take good care of you. He will give you strength and perseverance to get through a pandemic, losing a loved one, financial crisis. Any bump in the road God will provide.

I have been needing a reminder of that myself. I’ve been letting myself ask the question “Am I gonna be able to conquer these hard days?” Allowing myself to feel hopeless, lonely, afraid. Once I remind myself that God is for me, that he does all of this for me even the pain and suffering. This realization helped me to turn the page. Now I have a new question that is “I know I’m gonna make it out but what are these days going to make out of me?” How will God form me into the best version of me, his creation?

The gift of time

During this time of many different emotions trying to wrap our head around what is going on in today’s world with sickness spreading, schools closing we decided to run to the store and grab as much toilet paper as we can. I do not think this is because we are worried about running out of toilet paper but because it gives us something to do with all of the spare time we have. We fill our lives up with school, work, sports, random events and leave little to no time to rest and recharge. I’m sure you too have been so overwhelmed with everything you signed yourself up with that you were running on empty and sometimes even wishing you had more time to rest. Well God is now providing us with time, you can either take it as a burden or see it as a gift.

New year new me?

We are 2 weeks into the new year. Many of us have made New Year’s resolutions, written them down, and shared them with others, saying “new year new me.” Why can‘t it be “new year same me?” I hope you don’t want to change yourself, but want to grow into the person you wish to become. The best version of yourself.

This new year I want to become the best version of myself, to learn who I am. I want to forgive others, learn to love first, always be kind, to continually grow in my faith, as well as become healthier – mentally and physically. I don’t want to wish the days away, but to make each day count.

The new year has just begun, you’re still the same you. So be you, the best version of you. Forgive, but never forget. Love first, be happy and count your blessings – not your days.
