What this book has taught me is that it’s not about the news we hear, but the truth that we find in the news. God’s truth. God’s truth is in all of our circumstances, even when it gets so hard and we feel so broken and we want to give up. God will pick up our broken pieces, even the pieces that have turned into dust and he will recreate us. Even in some of our toughest times, where things just continue to get worse and worse and we feel as if God does not care. He does but he won’t fix our problems on our time, but on his time, and he is never late with his timing. He has a plan for us and a process to get through but he does not want us to just “get through” the hard times but to get something out of it. To make a difference. To tell someone they are not alone. They are not the only ones hurting, share your tears with them. For tears are the strongest human connection, and trust is the strongest connection with God. So share your tears and have trust in the Lord. This book has helped me to really begin my grieving process. To stop asking the why questions, and just simply say “okay God, I am putting my trust in you”.
